Mingming Chen

Mingming (Miles) Chen is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in AI/ML technologies and recommendation systems. Currently serving as an Engineering Lead at Meta since June 2021, Mingming leads teams focused on building a horizontal Recommendation Platform and foundational Data Platform for Facebook Communities. Previously at Google from February 2016 to June 2021, Mingming held the role of Tech Lead Manager, where responsibilities included founding the Style AI team and developing the Visual Style Search and Recommendation Engine, as well as contributing to the Google Play Apps & Games recommendation platform. Mingming holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, complemented by a Master’s degree from Beihang University and a Bachelor's degree from Central South University. Throughout a research career that began in 2009, Mingming has published over 18 papers with significant citations in top-tier computer science venues.
