Mingyu Song

Mingyu Song is a seasoned researcher and software engineer specializing in machine learning and cognitive neuroscience. With experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Facebook, Mingyu contributed to enhancing diversity in Instagram Feed recommendations. As a Lead Teaching Assistant at Neuromatch Academy, Mingyu supported students and led a team of assistants in computational neuroscience education. Prior research roles at Peking University and New York University focused on decision-making processes, eye movement analysis, and human behavior. Mingyu completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Princeton University, where research explored representation learning across species. Currently, Mingyu serves as a Senior Research Scientist at Meta, improving recommendation systems for Facebook Marketplace.
