Morteza Karami is an optical engineer with extensive experience in optical modeling, electromagnetic simulation, and design optimization, accumulating over six years in the field. They previously served as an R&D Optical Engineer at Hach and worked as a Research Assistant at both UNC Charlotte and Shahid Beheshti University, contributing to various projects related to optical and RF/microwave metamaterials, fiber optic sensors, and metrology development. Morteza is currently an Optical Systems Engineer at Meta, continuing to leverage their expertise in optical systems and sensors. They hold a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Optical Science and Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
