Nawab Osman

Nawab Osman is an experienced academic and professional with a diverse background in research, teaching, and counter-terrorism initiatives. Osman served as a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, delivering lectures and policy briefings, and was an Academic Affiliate to the Islamophobia Research and Documentation Center. From June 2013 to June 2020, Osman worked at Nanyang Technological University as an Assistant Professor, coordinating the Malaysia Program and Seminar Series on Muslim Societies in Asia, while also monitoring Islamist extremist groups as an Associate Research Fellow. As a Senior Advisor at Asia Group Advisors, Osman consulted on political developments in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, Osman holds the position of Head of Counter-Terrorism and Dangerous Organizations for Meta in the APAC region, leading Trust and Safety programs and managing governmental and organizational relationships. Education was completed at The Australian National University between 2009 and 2013.
