Nicolas Hug

Nicolas Hug is an accomplished machine learning researcher with a focus on open-source software development. Experience includes serving as a PhD student at IRIT from October 2014 to October 2017, followed by a postdoctoral researcher and associate research scientist role at Columbia University from July 2018 to June 2019. Currently, Nicolas works as a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Meta since November 2020, primarily dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the scikit-learn library. Educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Université Paul Sabatier and another Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse, alongside ongoing studies in Computer Science at Universidad de Buenos Aires.
