Nikhil Kumar

Nikhil Kumar, PE, is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor and data center industries. Nikhil's career began with an internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, followed by an engineering internship at the Indian Space Research Organisation, where Nikhil contributed to the design of cross-flexures for hypersonic wind tunnel applications. Nikhil then served as an Executive Engineer at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, focusing on thermal power plant engineering. From February 2013 to May 2018, Nikhil worked at Intel Corporation, where responsibilities included engineering operations and design of mechanical systems in semiconductor manufacturing. Currently, Nikhil is employed at Meta, supporting data center retrofit projects with an emphasis on energy and water efficiency improvements. Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
