Obinna Igbe is a highly experienced Security Engineer with a strong background in threat investigation and cloud security. Currently working at Meta since March 2024, Obinna also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The City College of New York, teaching graduate-level Secure Cloud Computing. Previously, Obinna held security engineering roles at Google and Facebook, where significant contributions included leading threat investigations and shaping security strategies. Obinna has a solid foundation in research, having worked on blockchain-based intrusion detection systems at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York, resulting in two provisional US patents. Obinna holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from The City University of New York, along with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Imo State University.
