Othman SBAI

Othman SBAI is a machine learning and computer vision engineer at Meta, specializing in mixed reality since January 2022. Othman previously worked as a Ph.D. resident at Facebook AI Research from May 2018 to May 2021, where research focused on generating novel fashion designs using generative adversarial networks. Prior to that, Othman gained experience as a software engineer project lead at Renault-Nissan Research Center, developing an autonomous drone application for real-time tracking and streaming of vehicles. Othman's internship experience includes a role at Valeo Vision, where exposure to object detection methods was gained, and a research internship at RWTH Aachen University, contributing to structural dynamics for wind turbines. Othman holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Machine Learning from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and has a background in mathematics and physics from Classes préparatoires Moulay Youssef RABAT. Additionally, Othman volunteered with EMMAÜS Solidarité, focusing on sorting and selling donations.
