Peng Xu

Peng Xu is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in decision making, motion planning, and behavior planning in the field of autonomous systems. Starting a career at Huawei Technologies, Peng Xu developed applications for Android Display Modules and worked on robotic applications using ROS and machine learning frameworks. At Honda Research Institute USA, Inc., the focus was on motion planning and decision-making algorithms in dense traffic. Following this, a role at Amazon involved behavior planning for delivery robots. Currently, at DiDi, Peng Xu is enhancing the intelligence of autonomous driving systems and addressing occlusion challenges. Recently, Peng Xu joined Meta as a Machine Learning Engineer, contributing to Integrity AI and foundational models. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
