Perry S.

Perry S. is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in data infrastructure, privacy, and security capabilities. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Meta since August 2020, Perry oversees teams focused on enhancing data security. Previously, Perry held the position of Head of Data Technologies at Wayfair, where responsibilities included building the Data Infrastructure organization and modernizing analytics systems. Additional roles include VP Product and Software at CyPhy Works, CTO/VP Engineering at Cohealo, and Vice President of Engineering & Operations at Cloudant during its acquisition by IBM, where team growth was a key achievement. Perry's earlier experience at Akamai Technologies included senior leadership roles in engineering and data strategy for online advertising solutions, alongside a foundational role as Principal Architect at ScanSoft, where initiatives in commercial OCR were pursued. Perry holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
