Peter Capak

Peter Capak is an experienced scientist with a strong background in astronomy and astrophysics. At Caltech, Peter developed an image processing system for the Spitzer Enhanced Imaging Products and co-led the Euclid NASA Science Center. Peter also contributed to the COSMOS collaboration, enabling significant advances in dark matter mapping. In recent roles, including Director of XR Systems Architecture at Meta and International Associate at the Cosmic Dawn Center, Peter focused on cutting-edge technology in augmented reality and strategic consulting. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, alongside a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from the same institution and the University of British Columbia, respectively.
