Peter Freese

Peter Freese is an accomplished computational biologist and software engineer with a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics - Biology from Harvard University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational & Systems Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Experience includes work as an Undergraduate Researcher at Harvard, where mathematical modeling of genetic drift and bacteriophage effects was studied, and as a Graduate Researcher at MIT focusing on protein-RNA interactions through innovative sequencing assays. With tenure at GRAIL, Inc. as a Bioinformatics Scientist and various roles leading to a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist position, Peter currently serves as a Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning at Meta. Additionally, Peter contributed to education as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, with coursework featured on MIT OpenCourseWare.
