Peter Jinsoo Rhim

Peter Jinsoo Rhim has extensive experience in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, particularly in silicon photonics. After earning a Bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. from Yonsei University, Peter worked as a Guest Scientist at IHP, where a focus was on the design of a 40Gbps micro-ring modulator-based optical transmitter. At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, responsibilities included the design and optimization of silicon photonic devices, high-speed SerDes ASICs, and CMOS single photon sensors for applications such as ToF and LiDAR. As a Postdoctoral Research Engineer, Peter specialized in silicon photonic device characterization and transceiver design for 3D robotic vision systems. Currently, as a Depth Sensor Engineer at Meta, Peter is engaged in the design and validation of 3D depth sensors for augmented and virtual reality applications.
