Prashant Kommireddi

Prashant Kommireddi is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and applied artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Applied AI at Meta since July 2021, Prashant is focused on translating frontier AI and large language model research into scalable production impacts. Prior roles include Engineering Director at Lyft, overseeing a team of over 160 engineers to enhance various platforms, and multiple engineering positions at Salesforce, contributing to products like Search and Chatter. Prashant also has a history with The Apache Software Foundation as an Apache Committer for Apache Pig. Early career experiences include software engineering positions at eBay and Citrix, and web development at Arizona State University, bolstered by a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution.
