Prithu Sharma

Prithu Sharma is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in advanced technology development, particularly in display and optics for augmented reality (AR) applications. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Meta, Prithu leads the AR Eye Tracking Product Development & Integration team, successfully expanding the team from one to sixteen members and overseeing various critical module and component developments. Previous roles include senior positions at Apple and Lam Research, where Prithu managed cross-functional teams, qualified new technologies for production, and developed plasma-based etching processes for semiconductor manufacturing. Prithu holds a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
