PU ZHANG

Pu Zhang is a seasoned professional with a strong background in quantitative development and machine learning. Zhang began a career as a Quantitative Developer at Goldman Sachs from July 2018 to August 2020, focusing on software and model development for credit risk pricing and portfolio aggregation. Following this, a summer internship as a Technology Analyst at Amazon transitioned into a role as an Applied Scientist, where machine learning applications for abuse prevention were designed and built from August 2020 to August 2022. Currently, Zhang serves as a Software Engineer in ML at Meta, contributing to FB Reels Creation ML since September 2022. Academically, Zhang holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
