Rafa Carmago

VP, Hardware, RL at Meta

Rafa Carmago is the current VP of Hardware at RL, a division of Meta. Rafa has held this position since August 2016. Prior to that, they were the Head of Product Engineering at ATAP, a division of Google. Rafa was with Google from March 2015 to August 2016. Before that, they were the Director of Software at Amazon Lab126 from September 2013 to February 2015.

Rafa Carmago began their career as a software engineer with GMV in 1990. Rafa then moved on to Motorola in 1998 where they worked on cellular data connectivity. Rafa became the Senior Director of Android Platform in 2002 and held that position until 2011 when they left to join Intermec as VP Product Development. Rafa stayed with Intermec until 2013 when they joined Amazon.

Rafa Carmago studied telecommunications at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they earned their MS.

Rafa Carmago reports to Carmine Arabia, VP, Devices - FRL.
