Rahul Mitra is a technology leader with significant experience in software engineering and artificial intelligence. As a Co-Founder of StacksWare from June 2015 until its acquisition by Avi Networks in September 2017, Rahul contributed to inventorying and metering software applications to enhance decision-making based on user activity. Following this, Rahul continued at Avi Networks as a Senior Member Of Technical Staff until its acquisition by VMware in 2019. Subsequently, in July 2019, Rahul took on the role of Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at VMware. In November 2020, Rahul transitioned to Meta as a Staff Software Engineer, focusing on generative AI and multilingual foundations. Currently, Rahul serves as a Tech Lead Manager for the Llama/Meta AI multilingual team, striving to develop the most accessible AI assistant. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and is pursuing a Master of Science in the same field at Stanford University.
