Raphael Lucchesi is a seasoned computer scientist and AI research expert with extensive experience at leading technology organizations. From June 2012 to October 2016, Raphael worked at Facebook, initially as a Computer Scientist focused on infrastructure development for scalability and stability, later advancing to the role of AI Research Scientist, where responsibilities included enhancing the natural language processing capabilities of the Blender chatbot project. Prior to Facebook, Raphael served as a Senior Researcher at MIT Media Lab from August 2008 to April 2012, leading a team on human-computer interaction technologies and publishing significant research in the field. Currently, Raphael is a Senior AI Research Scientist at Meta since July 2022, leading innovative research in large-scale foundation models and generative AI, and contributing to breakthrough advancements in Meta’s AI initiatives. Raphael holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
