Rija Javed

Rija Javed is an experienced engineering leader currently at Meta since February 2020, focusing on building and scaling commerce solutions such as FB Shops, IG Shops, and FB Marketplace. Serving as a strategic advisor to various early and growth-stage companies, Rija collaborates with executive teams and boards across diverse sectors, including fintech, AI, e-commerce, health tech, and travel, providing insights on technology, product development, revenue diversification, and market expansion. Rija has held significant roles in previous organizations, including Chief Technology & Product Officer at Kriya and Senior Director of Engineering at Wealthfront, where Rija led core financial product development and the company's expansion efforts. Rija's early career includes software engineering roles at Zynga and a thesis project in multi-query compilation at the University of Toronto, where Rija earned both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
