Rizwan Gilani

Rizwan Gilani is an accomplished engineering manager and software development professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Rizwan has held key roles at prominent companies, including University of Toronto as a Graduate Research Associate, Meta as an Engineering Manager focusing on AI/ML at PyTorch, and Amazon as an Engineering Manager for AWS SageMaker, leading initiatives in LLM and GenAI. Previous positions at Amazon also included software development roles for Alexa, where significant contributions were made to the communications team and natural language understanding engine. Rizwan co-founded Lookout360, a safety-focused application, and worked as a software engineer for the Technology for People Initiative, where cutting-edge 3D modeling techniques were employed.
