Mechatronics Engineer

Robert Hunt, PhD, possesses extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on actuators and robotics. Notable internships include positions at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where Robert developed a thermo-mechanical model for a novel polymer actuator, and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, where Robert worked on controls for flexible printed circuit board actuators. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Robert researched twisted and coiled polymer actuators for soft robotic underwater applications. Currently, Robert serves as a Mechatronics Engineer at Meta, providing engineering support for pneumatic-driven haptic gloves and leading the development of fluidic test benches. Robert earned a Bachelor's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
