Rohan Chitnis

Rohan Chitnis is an AI Research Scientist at Meta Reality Labs since August 2022, focusing on enhancing augmented reality applications through reinforcement learning. Prior to this role, Rohan completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where research was conducted in the Learning and Intelligent Systems Lab under the guidance of Leslie Kaelbling and Tomas Lozano-Perez. Rohan has gained valuable experience through internships at Nuro, Facebook AI, and Google Brain Robotics, contributing to advancements in data-driven reasoning, intrinsic motivation in robotics, and speeding up deep reinforcement learning techniques. Rohan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
