Rohit Alekar

Rohit Alekar is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and software development. Rohit began a career in research and analysis, serving as a Research Assistant at the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University, where work included sentiment analysis and web mining algorithms. Following this, Rohit held positions at General Electric Global Research as a Research Intern focusing on data mining and entity recognition, and at Janys Analytics as a Software Developer working on sentiment analysis tools for Twitter. Rohit further developed expertise at Shutterfly, Inc. by creating a scalable payment processing system, and at Samsung SDS Research America, where contributions included building a distributed real-time processing engine for machine learning. Rohit spent several years at Pinterest as a Software Engineer specializing in machine learning before joining Meta in October 2022, continuing to leverage machine learning skills.
