Rong Shi has extensive experience in computer science and engineering, with a strong focus on data processing and resource management in large-scale systems. From September 2011 to May 2014, Rong held roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, contributing to the development of MPI runtime for GPU clusters and optimizing data and metadata processing. Currently, as a Research Scientist at Meta since October 2018, Rong designs services for managing geo-distributed data warehouses and creates stress testing tools for performance evaluation. Additional experience includes a Software Engineer Internship at Google in mid-2017. Rong holds a PhD in computer science and engineering, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology.
