Ross Nelson

Firmware Engineer

Ross Nelson is an experienced firmware engineer with a robust background in developing and integrating firmware for consumer electronics. At Seagate Technology, Ross served as a Senior Staff Firmware Engineer, focusing on calibration and optimization of hard drive products, before leading a team as Firmware Manager to enhance the next-generation firmware codebase. Following that, Ross worked at Microsoft as a Principal Firmware Engineer, overseeing the firmware architecture for Xbox One accessories. Currently, Ross is employed as a Firmware Engineer at Meta. Ross holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in German from the University of Oklahoma, and an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Additionally, Ross has studied Computer Science at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München.
