Ruoming Pang is an accomplished AI Research Scientist at Meta, beginning in July 2025, focusing on super intelligence research. Prior to this role, Ruoming served as a Senior Distinguished Engineer at Apple from August 2021 to July 2025, where leadership of the Apple Foundation Model team contributed to the development of key foundation models for Apple Intelligence and advancements in the AXLearn training framework. Between July 2006 and August 2021, Ruoming held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Google, leading research in speech recognition and co-developing the widely-used Babelfish/Lingvo framework. Ruoming holds a PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, alongside a BS in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
