Ryan Cairns

Ryan Cairns is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership, particularly in artificial intelligence, immersive computing, and product development. Currently serving as the Vice President and Engineering Lead for Meta's GenAI team, Ryan oversees engineering initiatives and recruitment for a diverse range of roles. Prior to this position at Meta, Ryan held multiple senior roles at Google, including Senior Director of Engineering for immersive computing, where leadership was provided to a 500+ person team focused on AR and VR technologies. Ryan's career also includes key contributions at Sabre Labs, Openstorm Software, and other technology firms, as well as educational credentials from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Computer Science.
