Ryan Cheng

Ryan Cheng is a seasoned machine learning professional with extensive experience in software engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer for Machine Learning at Meta since May 2021, Ryan has successfully scaled FB Reels Overlay Ads, optimizing ad ranking and delivery to generate over $1 billion annually. Previous roles include Senior Deep Learning Architect at Amazon Web Services, where Ryan built ML solutions and designed deployment systems, and Senior Data Scientist at 2nd Order Solutions, achieving an $81 million reduction in operating expenses for a major US credit card issuer. Ryan began a career in data science as a Data Science Intern at Commonwealth Computer Research, Inc., and has garnered accolades, including first place at the American Statistical Association's Datafest Hackathon.
