Ryan Suess has extensive experience in advanced research and technology roles, beginning with internships at IBM and Cray Inc. in 2001 and 2004, respectively. A solid academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physics from the University of Maryland College Park. Ryan contributed significantly as an Associate Technical Staff member at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and later pursued a career as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Maryland College Park. After serving as a Research Physicist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, Ryan transitioned to a position as a Scientist at Amazon, before taking on the role of Principal Scientist at Cruise from 2021 to 2024. Currently, Ryan is a Technical Lead for New Technology Introduction at Meta.
