Sam Kaufman is an experienced engineer with a background in mechanical engineering and materials engineering. At Mercedes-Benz Canada, Sam served as a Failure Analysis Engineer from January 2022 to September 2022. Following this role, Sam worked at SpaceX as a Hardware Development Engineer from November 2023 to November 2025. Currently, Sam holds the position of DFX Engineer at Meta, starting in December 2025. Sam completed a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Product Design & Development, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Materials Engineering, both from The University of British Columbia.
