Samuel Flender

Samuel Flender has extensive experience in machine learning and data science, holding various roles across several prominent companies. At Meta, Samuel currently serves as a Machine Learning Engineer since October 2022. Prior to this role, Samuel worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple and as a Data Scientist at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where responsibilities included developing data-driven solutions for the Chase app and website for a customer base of 50 million. Samuel also contributed to machine learning and deep learning research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on scalability of techniques on high-performance computing systems and developing a pipeline for brain image segmentation. Additionally, an Editorial Associate role was held at Towards Data Science, and prior to these positions, a Postdoctoral Researcher role was assumed, working on post-processing large datasets from cosmological simulations. Educational background includes studies at the University of Helsinki from 2012 to 2014.
