Sander van Valkenburg is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leading software development and architecture in the fields of embedded systems, IoT, and mobile applications. Currently, Sander is a Software Engineer at Meta, following a notable tenure as a Software Engineering Manager at Nokia Bell Labs, where Sander spearheaded innovative cloud-based platforms and mobile app concepts, including a mission control UI for space missions and environmental sensing applications. Sander's previous roles include Principal Software Engineer positions at Nokia and HERE, where Sander contributed to the development of digital health wearables and IoT platforms, as well as influential roles at Vialis, CIMSOLUTIONS, and Nimbuzz, leading various embedded systems and application development projects.
