Sebastian Hack

Research Scientist

Sebastian Hack is an accomplished software engineer and research scientist with a diverse background in technology and engineering. At Microsoft, Sebastian developed face recognition algorithms and worked on big data coding for the HoloLens mixed reality product. With experience at Meta as a research scientist, Sebastian contributed to the development of a commerce-focused LLM agent, designing systems for intelligent search and recommendations. Earlier roles include internships at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, where Sebastian created an autonomous wire testing machine, and Famo.us, focusing on R&D for UI controls in JavaScript. Additionally, research experience at the University of California, Berkeley included designing lithography masks for MEMS devices and creating 3D maps for robotic applications.
