Serhat YILMAZ is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in AI infrastructure and stream processing. Currently serving as a Technical Lead for AI Infrastructure at Meta since September 2019, Serhat YILMAZ has driven the development of the next-gen AI platform, Starlight, focusing on improving the transition from research to production while managing the complexities of a monolithic repository. Prior to this role, Serhat YILMAZ led a team of 25 engineers at Facebook in building XStream, a high-performance stream processing stack used in critical applications. Serhat YILMAZ also holds positions on the Board of Directors for A2SV | Africa to Silicon Valley and has interned at notable companies such as Amazon, OBSS, T2 Software, and Unify. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Bilkent University.
