Shan Tong

Shan Tong has extensive experience in imaging technology, having held key roles at prominent companies such as Meta, Apple, Qualcomm, Arecont Vision, and City of Hope. At Meta from October 2020 to July 2023, Shan served as a Tech Lead for imaging algorithms and experience, leading advancements in camera technology for wearable and mixed reality products, while also managing image quality design for AR/VR product lines and contributing to the launch of Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and Quest 3s. Prior experience includes significant contributions as a Camera Imaging Engineer at Apple, where Shan played a pivotal role in the Deep Fusion launch for the iPhone 11, and as a Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, focusing on camera pipeline tuning across multiple chipsets. Educationally, Shan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
