Shane Shivji has extensive experience in both non-profit leadership and engineering. As President of Educate Our World since June 2008, Shane has focused on improving educational opportunities for underserved communities. Previous roles include positions at Hewlett-Packard, where responsibilities ranged from electrical engineering in circuit design for solid oxide fuel cells to serving as R&D Software Program Manager for high-speed production solutions and Technical Firmware Lead for embedded Linux development. Additionally, Shane has held roles at Meta as Software and Embedded Software Engineering Manager and at HP as Senior Firmware Engineer and R&D Software and Industrial Control Manager. Shane holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Oregon State University and has also studied engineering at Linn-Benton Community College.
