Shashank Jain is an experienced applied scientist and software engineer with a strong background in natural language processing and deep learning. Jain began a career at Samsung in the Feature Phone Mobile R&D division, contributing to T9 dictionary implementations and addressing grammar challenges in multiple languages. After an internship at Microsoft, Jain advanced to roles including Applied Scientist II at Microsoft Search, where projects involved NLP and deep learning applications for Outlook and Skype, and incubation of domain classification projects for Outlook emails. Currently, Jain is an Applied Research Scientist at Meta, focusing on multimodal large language model development for smart glasses.
