Shashank Rajput is a research scientist with extensive experience in the field of computer science. Currently employed at Meta since June 2025, Shashank previously contributed to Databricks Mosaic Research as a research scientist from September 2023 to June 2025. Prior to this, a postdoctoral researcher role was held at The University of Texas at Austin from May 2023 to September 2023. Between August 2017 and May 2023, Shashank worked at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as both a research assistant and teaching assistant. A research scientist internship was completed at Google in 2022, where Shashank developed an innovative transformer-based generative recommender system framework. Earlier professional experience includes roles as an applied scientist and software engineer at Microsoft and a student trainee at Samsung R&D Institute India.
