Shayne O'Reilly is an accomplished executive currently serving as the Director and Associate General Counsel at Meta since August 2021, overseeing strategic transactions, technology transactions, and licensing, while leading a team of over 25 attorneys and engineers. Prior to this role, Shayne held various positions including Associate General Counsel for IP Litigation at Meta, participated as a 2019 Fellow at the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, and worked as an Intellectual Property Attorney at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP and Hunton & Williams LLP. Additionally, Shayne has experience in IP licensing and transactions during a secondment at Apple. Shayne is also a member of the Board of Trustees at The Ron Clark Academy. Shayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
