Sheng Yang

Sheng Yang is an accomplished researcher and professional in the field of nuclear engineering and machine learning, with extensive experience at leading academic and corporate institutions. At the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Sheng developed machine learning algorithms that enhanced radiation detector performance significantly and led a research team in isotope activity experiments. Previous work at Tsinghua University involved designing components for neutron therapy and improving beam quality. Sheng has also interned as a Machine Learning PhD intern at Facebook, held positions as a Research Scientist and a Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Meta, and currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist at Walgreens Boots Alliance. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from National Tsing Hua University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
