Shenglin Ye

Shenglin Ye is an experienced optical scientist currently working at Facebook Reality Labs since November 2021. Previously, Shenglin held positions including Senior Display Module Process Engineer at 苹果 from July 2015 to October 2018, and Graduate Research Assistant at UCLA from September 2011 to June 2015, where significant work on ZnSnN2 materials was conducted. Other relevant experience includes roles as Research Scientist at Optorun Co. Ltd, where CIGS thin film solar cells were developed, and as a Visiting Researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Laser Technology, contributing to the development of a laser cutting model machine with a issued patent. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from UCLA, a Master's in Optical Engineering, and another Master's in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, where a Bachelor's in Control and Instrument Technology was also obtained.
