Shitai Li

Shitai Li is a Senior Research Engineer at Meta since October 2022, leading a research project focused on critical features for AR/VR headsets. Prior to this role, Shitai held positions at Tencent as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, where expertise included multi-modal video understanding and self-supervised pre-training. Additionally, Shitai worked as an Algorithm Developer at YITUTech, providing end-to-end algorithm solutions for industrial challenges such as car plate recognition and deep video compression. Early experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at the National University of Singapore, specializing in RGBD 3D reconstruction. Shitai holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Technopreneurship and a Master's degree in Electrical (Computing) Engineering, both from the National University of Singapore.
