Shomini Sen has a diverse background in software engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Meta since July 2024, Shomini previously completed a Software Development Engineering Internship at Amazon from May to August 2023. Earlier experience includes working as a Data Science Consultant for DataGood at Berkeley, where Shomini designed a web application in partnership with Downtown College Prep and utilized scikit-learn for student level recommendations. Additional roles include a Software Engineer Internship at cPacket Networks, a Teaching Assistant in Computer Security at UC Berkeley, and a Consultant at DataStory. Shomini's early internships also include research experience at Oregon Health & Science University, focusing on microbiome analysis, and teaching math at Mathnasium. Shomini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated from Jesuit High School Portland in 2020.
