Shujian Bu has accumulated extensive experience in software engineering and management, beginning with an internship at The Wall Street Journal in 2013 and advancing to roles at Pitch Interactive, Inc. and Amazon as a Software Engineer. At Citadel LLC from November 2015 to July 2018, Shujian served as a Software Engineer Team Lead. Subsequently, Shujian held the position of Staff Software Engineer at Meta from July 2018 to December 2020, working on Facebook News Ranking and related machine learning projects. Currently, Shujian is a Senior Engineering Manager at Meta, leading the Threads Feed Relevance team focused on recommendation and ranking systems. Shujian holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Southeast University.
