Sida Gao

Sida Gao is an accomplished research scientist and engineer with extensive experience in machine learning, neural interfaces, and computational systems. At Meta, Sida currently holds the position of Senior Research Scientist in Reality Labs, focusing on research engineering for neural interfaces. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, where contributions to the on-device Natural Language Understanding platform for Siri were showcased at WWDC 2021. Sida's research background encompasses various roles at Tsinghua University and Carnegie Mellon University, where significant achievements include the optimization of neural network computations, user behavior analysis in social networks, and the development of advanced machine learning models. Sida holds a Master of Science in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University.
