Silas Sun is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in rendering technologies and team management. With significant experience at Pixar Animation Studios from 2007 to 2012, Silas held various positions, including Senior Render Engineer and Supervisor. After a subsequent role as a Senior Engineer at Meta from 2017 to 2021, Silas transitioned to the position of Technical Manager at Meta in 2021, focusing on the integration of AI with neural rendering and overseeing a team of 8–12 engineers in the development of shader systems, dynamic lighting, and light field rendering architectures.
