Simon Porter is an experienced audio systems professional with a background in management, engineering, and entrepreneurship. Simon served as Manager of VR Audio Systems at Meta from December 2018 to December 2020, and currently holds the position of Senior Technical Manager for Audio System Engineering since March 2022. Prior to joining Meta, Simon was an Engineering Manager at Apple, overseeing various acoustic design projects, and contributed to research and development as an Acoustic Engineer at Paradigm Electronics Inc. In addition to technical roles, Simon owned SKG Audio Visual and worked as an Audio Visual Specialist at Sight N Sound Design. Simon also has experience in coaching water polo at the University of Toronto. Simon earned a BSc. (Honours) in Audio Technology from Solent University from 2004 to 2007.
