Siobhan Cummiskey

Siobhan Cummiskey is a seasoned professional in content policy and regulatory compliance, currently serving as the Senior Director of Content Policy at Meta since July 2021. Cummiskey leads a global team focused on online content regulation and freedom of expression, developing compliance solutions that align with local laws and international human rights standards. Prior to this role, Cummiskey spent seven years at Facebook in various capacities, including Director of Public Policy for EMEA and Head of Content Policy for EMEA, where responsibilities included managing compliance with hate speech regulations and addressing misinformation. Cummiskey's legal career began at the Irish Traveller Movement Law Centre as Managing Solicitor, where significant cases included addressing discrimination in education and online hate speech prosecutions. Additional experience includes roles as a Solicitor and Senior Lecturer in Law, specializing in human rights, contractual issues, and engagement in legal academia. Cummiskey holds degrees from the Law Society of Ireland, New York State Bar, and Griffith College Dublin.
