Soyoung Kang

Soyoung Kang, PhD, PMP, currently serves as a Technical Project Manager at Meta since November 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the USC Ming Hsieh Institute in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Philips, and the University of Washington, where projects focused on wireless implantable devices, machine learning models for blood clot prediction, and developing AI-enabled health tools. Soyoung also held the position of Executive Director at UW Engineering Innovation in Health, emphasizing innovative solutions in human health and the training of future health innovators. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California, a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, and a Master of Science in Medical Systems Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg.
